Upcoming Clinic: Pediatric Neurosurgery

The Guatemalan Pediatric Association is promoting its upcoming neurosurgery clinic, to take place October 4-8.  Among the donated procedures will be:  valve repair milomeningoceles, masses in the back, spina bifida, tethered cord, hydrocephalus, craniosynostosis (deformed head by premature closure of sutures).  For more information on the registration process, please call 2285-3900.

    Please contact Helmuth Leal in Guatemala, President of the Spina Bifida Association of Guatemala- Asociation Guatemalteca de Espina Bifida and let them know you are coming.     Helmuth has a sister with Spina Bifida and is the Association’s Board President- over 300 families.
