Host Site for Medical Teams: Safe Homes for Children

Safe Homes for Children has a small, four room clinic in Los Rolbes [1 km from Godinez], San Andres, Solola, Guatemala. They also do feeding and educational programs in many remote Mayan communities. They are in the middle of 1.5 million Mayans, most of whom are in desperate need of medical care, dental care and nutritional care. Many have debilitating handicaps from poor nutriton prenatally and birth trauma.

They can provide translators, drivers [maybe a charge] and pre-clinic publicity.  Teams can stay on site at their Los Robles facility for $20.00  a day or in their volunteer rental house in Panajachel for $30.00 a day. For teams of over 8 this includes their meals. Lunch is always provided for any team.
